How to get listed.
If you are a business, shop or place which sells poultry or bird keeping equipment, accesories, interesting or related items and anything else that may be of interest to anyone who likes poultry/birds or keeps/breeds them then email us at poultry_talk_tk@hotmail.co.uk with your company details. You will need to include: Company/business name, telephone number, website, email address, brief description of what you sell/offer, small copmpany logo or image, email and ebay address. If you don't have some of these then just don't include them. It is decision on what you want included.
If you are a centre, park, or another place where people can go and where they might find it interesting if they are interested in birds/poultry then please email us with these details: name of business/company/place name, telephone number, fax, website, email, ebay address. If you don't have some of these then just don't inculde them. Also a brief location or some details on how to find you aswell as what you do/offer/whats to see and opening times, what facilites you have, what people need to bring and any other essential details.

We will email you back informing you of if we can include your listing and when the listing will be put in the directory. Many shows are held each year by different clubs, organisations, asscoiations and people so people can show off all their hard work and breeding and allow people to see amnd enjoy their stunning birds aswell as getting them judged againest the standards set by the Poultry Club Of Great Britain and many reciveing get awards and alcolades which proves just how good their birds are and can make it all worth while. They are also great social events and give breeders/exhibitors the chance to meet other people, discuss how breeding has been and much more. Even if you are not showing they are always a great event for all and a chance to see some of the best around in the poultry world.

Auctions and Sales.
Auctions and sales are a great place to see different birds, meet breeders and keepers of birds and buy birds.

Breed club events.
Many different breed clubs, organisations and groups have organised days out for the members which may be say that a poultry breeder opens there collection for members of a club to come and see and have tea. If you are a member of any clubs or gorups check your year books and any publications you recieve with it or ask them to find out.

Centres and Parks.
These can make for a great day out and you can have a wonderful relaxing time at them. Always call first to make sure they are open.

The centre has many traditional pure breeds on view aswell as a Cafe, and a shop selling equipment and other items of interest and plants. You can buy eggs, birds and housing from them.

The Wernlas collection has a large range of different chicken breeds. They sell birds and eggs. They have a gift shop and sell equipment and books. There is an admission charge.

Near Evesham.
The Domestic Fowl trust has a huge range of fowl, ducks, geese, turkeys and farm animals. Indoor and outdoor play areas for children. Tearooms. Shop selling equipment, gifts and there is a new visitor centre and museum. There is an admission charge for the farm park.

Going out.
When going out why not follow our check list and simple pieces of advice to ensure you have the best possible time. Always apply to your own circumstances and include your usual routine as well.
Please phone where you are going to make sure they are happy with you coming, know how many people there are and are open.
Allow plenty of time for your journey so you arrive in time and get back home safely.
Take food and drinks if there is no where to buy it. If there is make sure you take some money.
Make sure there are toilets, if not be prepared.
Take your mobile phone incase of an emergency. Make sure you know how to operate it, have credit on it and that it is fully charged.
Check if there is wheel chair access. If so where to at the place or is it the whole of it.
Don't forget your camera and don't forget to take photos when you are there.
Make sure you bring along spare battries if you are taking a camera or electrical equipment.
Take money for any purchases.
You listen to the weather forecast and take suitable clothing and spares.
Take some spare plastic bags incase you get caught in the rain and need something for your clothes. Take carry crates and boxes incase you make any unexpected purchases.
If you take all that and are fully prepared then there is not anything else you can do really to be prepared incase anything gose wrong. We hope you have a wonderful time and why not tell us about your day out in the Forum, we would love to hear about it!
